Obituary

Carolyn Smith Webb, 73, passed away Monday, May 18, 2020, at her home in Blountville, TN surrounded by family after a long battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis. Born February 26, 1947, in Tennessee, she attended Holston High School, Blountville TN, where she was captain of cheerleaders. She attended church at Cross Pointe Church in Bristol TN where she served in the Storm Chasers Ministry. She was loved by all who met her and loved fiercely by her family and friends. She loved the Lord and was ready to be with Him.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents: Toy Brad and Lillian Frances Smith; grandparents: Bertha Lister, T. B. Smith, Ethel Cross Smith, Boyce Lee Hammitt and several aunts and uncles.
She is survived by her husband, Samuel E. Webb, the love of her life, whom she was married to for 53 years; daughter: Taisa W. Steenbergen (precious baby girl and light of her life) and Rodger D. Steenbergen (handsome son-in-law); sisters: Chee Chee Webb (Randy), Patricia Hale (Ron); brother: Gary A. Smith(Linda); grandchildren: Steven M. Steenbergen (Kimberly), T. J. Steenbergen (Kim); great-grandchildren: Caleb Steenbergen, Caitlyn Steenbergen, Kimyiah Steenbergen, Walker Steenbergen, and Analiyah Steenbergen; nieces: Karen Gordon, Niki Hall and Stephanie Woodford; nephews: Ron Pope and Jonathan Pope; great-nieces: Sarah Woodford, Riley Hall, Saylor Hall and Hannah Pope; great nephews: Jacob Pope, Blake Pope and Brayden Pope.
The family will receive friends from 3:00-5:00 pm on Saturday, May 23, 2020, at East Tennessee Funeral Home, Blountville, TN. A funeral service will follow at 5:00 pm with Pastor Keith Williams officiating and a Eulogy presented by Rodger Steenbergen.

Sammy and Taisa, I'm so sorry to hear of Carolyn's passing. She was an absolute joy to be around. Always happy and friendly. I remember how fond she was of my son Matt, she always wanted to pinch his cheeks and tell him how dapper he looked.
