The family will receive friends on Friday, February 16, 2018 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm in the chapel at East Tennessee Funeral Home 2630 Highway 75 Blountville, Tennessee with services to follow with Keith Matney and Jeff Taylor officiating.
Honorary Officiants; Wayne Boswell and Bud Kent.
Committal service will be Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Fall Branch Church of Christ, 480 Fordtown Road, Fall Branch, TN. 37656. Military Rites by American Legion Post 3/265 Honor Guard.
Pallbearers; Brian Bearden, Greg Fuller, Eric Fuller, Thurman Fuller, Mike Meadows and Ralph Mooney.

Family and friends may pay their respects anytime at the home on 401 Minga Store Road Kingsport, Tennessee 37663

Life Story for Dewey Mooney

Johnson City, Tennessee – Dewey Mooney passed away on Monday, February 12, 2018 at NHC Johnson City, TN.
Dewey was born in Grundy, VA. to the late Arminty Jane (Dales) Mooney and Buby Jack Mooney. He was a member of Fall Branch Church of Christ. Dewey served as a Preacher for The Church of Christ in Tennessee, Virginia and Kentucky. He served and is a Veteran of the United States Army. He was the former owner of Mooney’s Diner in Gray, TN. And retired as a private contractor. He was an avid Nascar and football fan but he especially loved spending time with his family.

As well as his parents, he is preceded in death by his Brothers; Henry W. Mooney, Louis H. Mooney, Arville Mooney, Robert Mooney, Sisters; Beulah M. Randolph, Elsie Mooney, Cassie Nienast, Florence Shipley, Pearly Mae Mooney, Mary Conner and Naomi Buchanan.

He is survived by his loving wife of more than 50 years; Roxie Lena (Fuller) Mooney, Daughters; Madelin Lia Bearden (Brian), Marilyn Maria Parker (Alan), Amanda Gail Skeens (Carter), three Granddaughters; Madison Victoria Schoo, Megan Elizabeth Parker, Ashly Brooke Steele, one Grandson; Steven Montgomery Schoo and several Nieces and Nephews.
