The family will receive friends anytime at the home of Joy Davis, 964 Gravely Rd. Kingsport. The family will receive friends anytime at the home of Joy Davis, 946 Gravely Rd. Kingsport. A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Friday, December 7, 2018 with Pastors Herb and Todd Peak at East Tennessee Cemetery with military rites by the American Legion post #3/265. Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Life Story for Edgar Larry Davenport

Kingsport, TN. Larry Edgar Davenport 72, passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Asbury at Steadman Hills Assisted Living Kingsport, Tn. Mr. Davenport was born and raised in Kingsport, TN and resided there all of his life. He was a veteran of the United States Airforce serving in Vietnam. Mr. Davenport was a member of the American Legion Post 3 in Kingsport, a member of the Charles DeWitt Byrd Post and the Boone Dam Post of the VFW. He was also a member of the Disabled American Veterans. He was a member of the Preston Hills Presbyterian Church. Mr. Davenport is preceded in death by his parents, Harmon and Allie Lawson Davenport; and a sister, Mina Bell Williams. He is survived by two sisters, Frances Hicks and Joy Davis; brother, Ronnie Davenport; several nieces and nephews.
