The family will receive friends Saturday, January 6, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Boones Creek Bible Church 1528 Old Gray Station Road, Johnson City, TN. 37615 with services to follow at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Dale Cunningham, Pastor Shurldin Mackes and Pastor Lee Kliewer officiating. Committal services will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Jonesborough, TN. Pallbearers will be Isaac Kiser, Shurldin Mackes, Paul Kliewer, Roger Mitchell and Lee Kliewer. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kerry Kiser, Joel Mackes, Gregg Copeland, Jeff Kliewer, Caleb Copeland, Collin Copeland, Sean Mitchell, Taylor Mitchell, Michael Mitchell, Stanley Whitaker and Harry Little.

Life Story for Pastor Laurence "Larry" Draper

Gray, TN. – Pastor Laurence James Draper 85, went home to be with his lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday, December 31, 2017 at 4:25 a.m. at Johnson City Medical Center, Johnson City. TN. He was the son of the late Laurence James and Susan Belle Stoddard Draper. Mr. Draper was born in Village of Penn Yan, New York but lived most of his life in East Tennessee where he was called into the Ministry and obtained a diploma in Pastoral Studies from Practical Bible Training School (Davis College),and Bachelor of Arts in Bible from Spurgeon. He was a member of Boones Creek Bible Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife: Lois Edna Keegan Draper, infant grandchild: Keegan Thomas Copeland, three infant great-grandchildren, sister: Sandy Draper and two infant brothers. He is survived by daughters: Charlotte Kiser (Kerry) of Gray, Lois Mackes (Shurldin) of Idaho, Colleen Kliewer (Lee) of Pennsylvania, Carolyn Copeland (Greg) of Lakeland, FL., brother: John W. Draper of New York, fifteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
