An emtombment service will be conducted on Wednesday, August 23, at 2:00 pm in the Mausoleum of Faith Chapel at East Tennesse Funeral Home, Blountville, TN, with Pastor David Salley officiating.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Wexford House and Amedysis Hospice Care for the tender way they cared for Jean.

Life Story for Betty Morelock

Betty Jean Morelock, 78, of Kingsport, passed away on Saturday, August 19. She was born in Scott, Co. VA, on March 7, 1939, to the late Bert & Allie McDavid Rogers.

Jean worked many years in the restaurant business, where she made many lifelong friends. She and her husband were former owners of Gateway Restaurant in Moccasin Gap.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Morelock. Brothers, Kyle & Jess. Sisters, Ruby, Maxie, Georgia & Lou.

She is survived by her son, Tommy (Delores) Whitley. Daughters, Gail (Jim) Berry, & Tonia (Earon) Eads. Grandchildren, Travis Whitley, Kelsey Whitley, Seth (Crystal) Berry, Caitlyn (TC) White, Paisley Eads, Kaela Eads & Easton Eads. Great-grandchildren, Trevor, Sierra & Zack Whitley, Ashley & Abigail Berry, Chance & Emersyn White. Brothers, WT (Mickey) Rogers, John (Carol) Rogers. Sisters, Edith (Gene) Sanchez, Reba Hartgrove & Gladys (Roby) Calhoun. Sisters-in-law, Carolyn (Bob) Light & Bea Crawford. Several nieces & nephews.
